I'm a retired Fire officer with 2 adult daughters. I currently live on the outskirts of Leeds with my wife Julie. We are in the process of buying a property in Podstrana near Split. We have located a small motor cruiser boat in Split and hope to sail to as many island as possible. My wife and I have fallen in love with Croatia, its people and the way of life. However we are realists and feel it would be wise to make friend with Brits in the locality. Due to family commitments (elderly parents) we are unable to live full time abroad but will be spending as much time as possible in Croatia in the coming years.
