I grew up in Portugal, left for Paris at the age of 12, very quickly left to my own devices I started working in construction as an electrician, I change companies every year because I allow a lot of time for my travels. I started my own business at the age of 25, my inclinations for design, architecture and art my license to work on very beautiful projects. I gained my first experiences as a bartender during a trip to South East Asia, where I worked in different establishments for expatriates as an extra (2011). Shortly after my return from this trip, chef Eric Fontanini opened his gourmet restaurant the restaurant of the royal palace, he gave me a chance and I remained a bartender in his establishment for almost 3 years (until the change of ownership). I then worked again in my first field, not finding a position that was interesting as a bartender. For the 2016/2017 winter season I joined the team at Hamilton lodge Zweisimmen Switzerland as a maintenance technician. For the new year, not having a bartender, my manager asked me if I could do the bar, seeing my ease, efficiency and pleasure in working behind a bar, she left me there for the whole season. This allowed me to realize that I belong behind a bar. I am now looking to deepen my knowledge in this profession by trying to integrate establishments around the world, meet bartenders with experiences and knowledge different from mine, to be able to evolve, share, with the least constraints and as much open-mindedness as possible. This summer I worked at the Caf茅 de France on Sainte Maxime (83) where I learned a lot about the profession of barista which was a gap in my knowledge.
