About
Good morning! :)
My name is Maelys, I have just completed a Bachelor's degree in English and speak the language fluently, but as I do not currently wish to commit to a Master's degree in teaching or a Master's degree in research which are the "logical continuation" of this training, I decided to take a year to think about what I would like to engage in.
I spent this year (2016-2017) near Manchester on ERASMUS, and I really enjoyed it. Since then, the prospect of living in England has not posed a problem to me and really appeals to me.
Before that, I had already traveled to London several times and I became passionate about this city which is my favorite in the world, and that's why Brighton particularly appeals to me, for its proximity to London while being calmer and less expensive, and also coastal and still close to France.
I am very interested in the field of translation and interpreting, which I have been practicing for years, and this is also the reason why Brighton is my first choice: its geographical location makes it much more likely to offer opportunities in French/English translation than cities in the North.
If you have any advice to give me or are in a similar situation to mine (without necessarily being for Brighton), don't hesitate to send me a message :)
Interests: music, fashion, Brit pop, painting, drawing, travel, london, translation/interpreting, dance, cinema, PHOTOGRAPHY, English
