Hello! I am a PIO (a person Of Indian Origin). I was born and bred in the UK, then shifted to Puttaparthi in 1998 (Sri Sathya Sai Baba). I am thinking of relocating to Pondicherry and would like to know which areas are good and affordable and whats life like for you there. My husband is part French and Irish and being a proper westerner (white skinned) he is somewhat isolated in Puttaparthi as the locals here are quite unwelcoming in many ways. For example if goes for a long bike ride, the kids of on the outskirts tend to throw stones at him. He is always hassled by beggars and although we've been living here for 12 years, it still doesn't feel like home. We we're thinking that perhaps things maybe different in Pondicherry??
