Mu‘tamadīyat Tūnis, Tūnis, Tunisia

Vedelago, Veneto, Italy
Born to parents originally from the area of the province of Oristano, but born in Carbonia where I lived until the age of twenty. Enlisted in the Carabinieri at the end of 1960 and attended the Student School in Piedmont; in September 1961 I was transferred to Alto Adige due to the needs of the well-known local terrorist problem. I spent 4 years of service in Val Venosta; a year in the upper Non valley and then moved to Tione di Trento where I remained for another two years. From 1968 to 1969 I attended the Carabinieri Non-Commissioned Officers School in Florence. Destination August 1969 in Laives (BZ). In that year I got married and lived in this place until 2007. In 1997 I retired from the force with the top rank of Deputy Public Security Officer Adjutant Major Marshal. Prior to the year 2007, having had two daughters who married two young men from the same place in Veneto, I decided with my wife to leave Alto Adige (magnificent region for climate and etc.) to arrive in Veneto in September 2007, where there is a fairly humid and unhealthy climate. Now that after 10 years I find myself full of pain, I had thought of coming to live in Tunisia for many reasons.
1st for the dry climate; 2nd for tax exemption; 3rd for the quite advantageous cost of living and finally for many other reasons that I don't feel the need to list.
After all these things, despite being satisfied with life for the magnificent family I have, I feel that Italy is starting to get too close to me. Of course I would have: 1st the non-acceptance of all the family members, including first my wife, then the children and then a granddaughter for a daughter; 2nd that having passed the age of 75, according to family members, it would no longer be advisable to undertake such an adventure. What is certain is that the whole thing leaves me embittered. If I could at least convince my wife to take a nice little reconnaissance trip, even a week would be enough, but she really doesn't want to hear about it. She says: Period. I'm the one organizing everything. By now I was about to apply for the passport: with Anna/Tunisia's advice I had already prepared the whole schedule of what I had to do, but unfortunately she had to do the math without the innkeeper. Thanks to those who want to express a suggestion of comfort and also possibly a negative opinion on my initiative. Thanks again Italian friends in Tunisia and beyond. Hi everyone. Starting with Francesca and continuing with Anna/Tunisia.
Pensioner inpdap.
