About

I'm from New Malden in Surrey but lived in Plaistow, East London for 6 years before moving to Guadeloupe 5 years ago with my partner and our 2 children. My partner is from Guadeloupe and we live with his family. Our children are bilingual but my French is still very bad/poor. We spend our summer hols in England with my family. I miss the shops, public transport, bargains, variety of restaurants and the many things to do in London. I especially miss my family and friends and working in the UK. I don't miss the cold & wet weather in England and like the tropical cliimate over here but most of the time it can be too hot! The beaches are lovely and very safe for young children. The people are very warm and friendly but because my French is poor and my Creole non exitent it makes communication and making friends very difficult as well as very hard to find work in my area. I'm trying to start teaching English as a foreign language but finding starting my own business difficult as I don't understand what I need to do or how to do it. I have other business ideas but would like some help getting started. Unfortunately my partner is unable to help me more then he has already. Looking to make friends with other British expats and have found two women recently whom I met that are very nice. I'm looking forward to meeting them again soon.
Interests: travelling, reading and eatting different types of food.
