About
We would like to go to Guyana with my husband for 1 month from the end of June. We will go to Saul, then Maripasoula, then we will go down the Maroni to SLM. Then, we will go to the Amana reserve, and stopping in places where we can see birds, we will end our trip with the KAW reserve.
Not easy to organize and lots of questions:
- We rented a rental car, but only from July 10 in SLM. It seems that the rental car cannot go on the slopes, even in good condition, under penalty of having the deposit returned? We don't want to do the "fanjos", but still, to see the birds, we won't stay on the N1. We will do gradients and other tracks not for 4X4. Is this possible without being penalized?
- Where can I find a camping gas cylinder for our small SLM stove?
- We arrive on June 25 at 3 p.m. Cayenne. We take the plane back to Saul on the 27th (we should be at the airport around 1 p.m.). Taxi? 80 鈧 for these 2 times. Or for 2 x 17 km. IMPOSSIBLE ! Maybe carpool? Or share the taxi fare with someone else? Or ask someone to pick us up outside the airport area (we can walk 2 or 3 kms). And pay for it at a reasonable price.
_ We found 1 cheap accommodation in Cayenne (from June 25 to 27) and 1 in SLM (July 10 and 11). These are the only carbets in these two towns. If that doesn't work, we just have to sleep outside. Can anyone accommodate us at a reasonable price? Or let us hang our hammocks in his garden. We are a quiet and calm couple! Just 鈥渆nthusiastic鈥 about photos, birds and nature. So, no litter, no trace of our passage!
Thanks in advance to those who respond
