Cosmopolitan city. I feel safe going out alone here. Plenty of facilities for foreigners.
Too much pollution and traffic. Expensive real estate.

Beautiful scenery and beach.
Conservative. Jealousy and rivalry between the locals. Difficult to find western items. No large supermarkets.

So? Someone else might be browsing the thread and looking for the right answer. If you're on an Employment visa in India and it expires and your extension hasn't been processed, you have to get and Exit visa from the FRRO. Won't be allowed to leave ... Read More

No, don't contact the Embassy. You must go to your local FRRO and ask for an Exit Visa. Read More
