My expat journey

Sesimbra, Set煤bal, Portugal
Appreciate the local diversity, the simplicity of the people, almost a 60s climate not yet irreversibly disfigured. I hope that the Portuguese do not allow themselves to be overwhelmed by the mega-mass tourism that is ruining so many wonderful places, a true social and environmental tsunami that overwhelms everything in its wake. So far they have been quite successful.

A house in the countryside in contact with an often wild and fascinating nature, a proud people with high social evolution, here respect and democracy are normally practiced in everyday reality, obviously there is no shortage of exceptions but... they are indeed exceptions.
I don't know, I feel much more "at home" here than when I was in Italy.

The beauties of the country: art, nature, food.
I don't want to be trivial but this hypocritical, fraudulent and crafty "Italianness" that has become mainstream for 20 years now has made me ashamed of being part of it, I fought it every day by going against the grain but it was like emptying the sea with a teaspoon. Now I'm really tired and I want to immerse myself in more "normal" and suitable social realities. Hence the decision to leave Italy.
