I was housesitting for a Belgian family who had a finca (smallholding) in a national park near Malaga. I was writing a book.
I was writing a book about earlier travels in Israel. I'm still a writer, and I have an editorial business.
Quiet, solitude and simple living! I was friends with a neighbour about 700m away, and my girlfriend visited.
Occasionally it felt like too much isolation, especially when it rained for weeks on end. Without any communications, I didn't know whether the World was in flood, or what was going on.
