Originally from the Great Lakes region of the US, my wife and I are looking for a retirement adventure in one of two area, the north of Spain or north of Italy. Ideally we'd find a bilingual culinary school in the area where I can refine my skills in the kitchen from good home cook to chef. We're planning a scouting trip this coming May, and would love to meet with local expats and get a good perspective what it's like to live in San Sebastian or Bologna.
