From the Algarve we went up by car to Lisbon, passing through the Alentejo and then up to Porto, a little along the coast, a little inland. We would like to settle in the south, especially for the warm climate, but we are a bit afraid of the emptying effect in the winter months and the overcrowding in the summer, and to be honest, I remember huge seafront buildings that made us look for a hotel in Loul茅. I don't remember anything about Faro, from what I see on the internet it seems like a beautiful city. We would love Porto, too bad the rainy climate and the cold sea!
