About Activity

I am a mom to a beautiful girl and happily married to a Pakistani born and raised in Muscat. I was born in Pakistan and migrated to Canada when I was 12. I graduated from UofT in 2011 in Honours Bachelors of Science majoring in Psychology I was lucky enough to find a position in an IT company to develop a small business revenue for their contract renewals line. I am very proud of my work, what started as a one army camp is now home to 10 people. I worked my way through in the private company and was able to manage sales, procurement and forecasting aspects of an IT business. After 4 years I switched to banking where I was doing outside sales as a mortgage advisor and after a year of work I became a mother. Since I have taken a two year leave to be with my daughter, as a family we thought it best. Now that I am planning to return to worklife I hope to get some guidance. In the two years that I was off I travelled extensively with my husband and daughter. We have come to love Muscat and believe this will be a great place for us to raise a family. It?s beautiful and clean like Canada plus the weather is warm and I can?t say enough about th culture. I really want to move in a year or so and if there is a certification or masters program I could do to upgrade myself for a better job opportunity I wouldn?t mind. I am open to suggestions. My husband graduated from UofT as well and he is an electrical engineer and worked in Texas Instruments as an executive account manager for 6 years. He switched to a new company as an International Product Manager. He is well paid and would like to have something close or similar to his current pay. Problem is that he is young and it seems that in Middle East managerial or higher up positions are based on age and higher number of experience. So the Dilemma is real.
