Hello! My name is Reuben. I am currently living in Honolulu, Hawaii where I was born and raised. I've been a bartender for the past 30 years. I'm looking to expand my horizons in South East Asia. I know that there's a French influence in Vietnam and I am trying to find out how I could get work as a baker's apprentice there. I'm also TEFL certified and am interested in trading English lessons for Vietnamese. This is a crazy move for me and I'm just throwing this out into the universe to see what happens. Any advice on relocating and finding work would be appreciated!

To immerse myself in the culture of Vietnam, to make some new friends, and to expand my world views.
I would like to find a job in a bakery. I know that cuisine there has been influenced by the French and would like to learn first hand the flavors, styles, and techniques of baking.
I am told by many that I have talked to that they absolutely loved it there. The people are friendly, the food is fantastic, and the culture is vibrant.
I am told that the air pollution in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City is high. The humidity concerns me a little as well, but only a little.
