About

I am a nurse by training, currently in the chronic illness education sector. I arrived in Dakar at the beginning of September 2018 to follow my husband who has already been working there for 2 years. I have 3 daughters, 2 of whom are in school. I don't know yet if I'm going to work professionally or not. I don't like being alone and I want to quickly get my bearings in this new life, so I'm looking to meet other women in my situation to discuss expatriation, share moments with the children, etc.
Interests: music, discussing current topics, ecology, reading, health issues, crafts in general, sewing, remaking the world!

Occupation

I am Employed.

Discover Senegalese/Dakar life. Meet people. Enjoying my daughters. Trying to use my nursing skills and why not my expertise in chronic illnesses, particularly diabetes.
During two previous trips to discover Dakar, I particularly appreciated the smile of the locals, their ease of saying hello and chatting. I really enjoyed the sun and the heat... it was in February-March...
Being labeled in certain places as being full of money because I'm white or having to pay special taxes because of my skin color... But hey, it's a turnaround compared to France...

Married, 3 daughters. It's difficult to plan for the future with a husband who doesn't have a job with great geographic stability....
Trained as a nurse, after working in hospitals, clinics and temporary work, I am currently a training nurse for chronic diseases. I really like this aspect of the job.
Moments of conviviality with friends, being close to my family and friends.
The French who spend their time complaining about a yes for a no. Rigidity in the face of change. The lack of enthusiasm of the people, the closed faces, the all-for-oneself.
