I am a nurse by training, currently in the chronic illness education sector. I arrived in Dakar at the beginning of September 2018 to follow my husband who has already been working there for 2 years. I have 3 daughters, 2 of whom are in school. I don't know yet if I'm going to work professionally or not. I don't like being alone and I want to quickly get my bearings in this new life, so I'm looking to meet other women in my situation to discuss expatriation, share moments with the children, etc.

During two previous trips to discover Dakar, I particularly appreciated the smile of the locals, their ease of saying hello and chatting. I really enjoyed the sun and the heat... it was in February-March...
Being labeled in certain places as being full of money because I'm white or having to pay special taxes because of my skin color... But hey, it's a turnaround compared to France...
