I'm not actually a ture Expat as I am waiting for my Residency Visa to make it official, but can hardly wait for the day when I can live in Cotacachi full time if I so choose! My husband was born and raised on the farm we currently live on in Canada and as the third generation on the farm, he is reluctant to give up the only thing he knows how to do to retire to the "Unknown"!! I embrace the change but he is frightened by it, so that in itself should be quite the adventure. I have sent months down in Cotacachi by myslf, but this January e is oing to make an attempt at being "retired" (read "bored") With all there is to see in Ecuador and the rest of South America for that matter, how can it be possible to be bored?!!?!?! Life is what we make it!!!!!!
