About

After my first marriage failed, I headed back to college at 48. Spent the first 2 years in community college and went on to the University of Hawaii where I earned a BA in English and my TESL Certification. A couple of years after graduation I made the move to Vietnam. Six months after I arrived, I married the woman I had been talking with online over the past year. In January 2019 it will be three years since I arrived and I have never regretted the move - it's one of the best decisions I ever made.

As with any language, the best way to learn it is to submerge yourself in the culture where you are surrounded by it all day, every day... but even then there is no "quick" way to learn it. Read More
