About

I am originally from the Midlands and have worked all around the place. I have been coming here to Barbados for many years. We bought a holiday place because we loved the place so much but now amicably splitting and I love it here and so am trialling the next page of life mostly out here. Early retired, why not? Have rented a house and ready to move. I would just really value any tips and ways to make new friends on the island? Anything that experienced people can suggest for a social start will be really appreciated. Meet for a coffee? Groups for new people? Also any practical advice on the nitty-gritty such as buying a car, dealing with Government etc. I know there must be sooooooo much I have not thought about and so would really appreciate any advice. As I am renting a house in Holetown, this is to trial out whether I want to make Barbados my real major home? Also any groups or societies, Bajan or ex-pat that are a good starting place? I would really appreciate anything from anyone. Moving in May this year.
