I have a "Level C" position in a Spanish public sector company. Political interference has turned us into an entity without any management autonomy. All decisions are made with criteria of the "political interest of the day" (changing like the wind), and, rarely, with criteria of public service and business management. For this reason, HR matters, including professional careers, are "intervened and almost paralyzed." In that environment, any professional improvement is almost impossible. The natural exit, based on the accumulated work experience, is international practice, with the risk it represents (and the opportunity).
