About
Hello,
My husband found a job in Ingelheim and we thought it was an amazing opportunity for the whole family to have experience abroad. We are therefore going to move next summer (2020) to Mainz in order to live in a relatively large city near Ingelheim. I am going to leave my job (Marketing Director for a beauty product brand) to first support my 3 children in this change, then I will reorient myself. I need to change my life and start a business. We have 3 children aged 12, 9 and almost 6 who have just started to learn the German language which they knew absolutely nothing about. They are eager and curious and are currently very good students at school. The eldest has been playing the violin at the conservatory for 5 years, she really likes it. The second is very athletic and plays competitive tennis like the youngest who has a lot of physical qualities.
We ask ourselves a lot of questions: in which area to live, should we rent or buy (we wouldn't be against it) knowing that we have always lived in a house with a garden. Which school for girls (gymnasium), and the youngest? We would be in favor of immersing them in a German school, but which ones? Otto schot gymnasium in Gonsenheim seems interesting? Do you have an experience to share? What are some tips for integrating as well as possible? Finally, is it interesting to enter the music conservatory? is it complicated? Is there a good tennis club with nice teachers who inspire you and who know how to push those who want to? That's it for our project, thank you for the good advice!! Delphine
