Hello, My name is Sylvain, I am 49 years old. I come from the center of France, from Chartres to be more precise. I have always felt a little apart from the majority of the population but during my stay in Rovaniemi, I felt what I was missing in France. Human warmth, natural space and intellectual space. I like the lifestyle and the philosophy of life in Finland. A life punctuated by long, cold winters and summers specific to Finland. I feel free, peaceful and the people are rather concerned about the well-being of others. Well, I felt it in the family where I was, and it's not the feelings of tourists. My plan, ideally, would be to find a position in my sector, which is social work, which I have been practicing since 2014 with adolescents and young people with disabilities. Being able to settle in Rovaniemi, which is a city on a human scale, would be perfect for me. I would like to integrate there and be part of Finnish life.
