I came from Argentina 17 years ago with my husband and my son. We were running away from the playpen. The first 2 years were very hard...then I found work in my profession, and I have been working in a large company in Madrid for 16 years. I have a good job, economic stability, and friends...Spanish style. You can go out, have dinner and laugh, but with exceptions...relationships do not become deep. I only have one Spanish friend in the style of what we know...the others...are good, polite and kind...even supportive...and generous...but...distant...the bonds and trust that we understand develop over time with friends...here they only occur in the family...and there is a wall...that is crossed very rarely.
