I am a retiring U.S. Taxman who is looking to get out of California, and probably the US to somewhere less expensive. Croatia is one of my possible choices. I haven't completely narrowed it down yet. I will be selling my California house in 2020 and making the first move at that time. It is doubtful my wife will be coming with me, she is emotionally tied to California.
