I've been living here in Recife now for nearly two years and most of the time it drives me nuts. It's a dirty city and I feel I have become a ruder person as a result of nothing working. So much so that I now list being rude as one of my hobbies. I try to describe what it's like to live in a city where nothing makes much sense in terms of subjects.
