Kharkov, Ukraine
Teaching English, studying Russian & Ukrainian on my own. Blogging non-stop. Learning to cook Ukrainian style. Meeting locals and wandering around the city. Raising a kitten.
I've been working in the fields of ESL/EFL and refugee resettlement since finishing school. I'm also interested in tourism or working for the US State Department.
Ukraine has a tremendously interesting history and culture. Looking back on what has happened in this country over the past 100 years, I think the people here are incredibly strong. Also, I find the differences between Ukrainian and American culture to be hilarious...they keep me smiling! Also, I think Ukrainian men are really handsome, especially my boyfriend of 6 years!
Too much mayonnaise and too much bureaucratic red tape in this country...aside from that, it's awesome.
