I come from Alsace (Boersch, 30km from Strasbourg). I am a nurse. My husband first worked in Basel/Basel for 2 years and he has just had a position since January 2009 near Neuch芒tel. It was following this new position that we decided to all settle in Switzerland. My husband has lived there since January and we joined him this summer. For the moment we do not regret our choice. It's easy because we speak the same language: French. This has a disadvantage, believing that we are still in France!!! We are gradually discovering the specificities of our new environment. The city is nice and there is a lot to do and discover in the area for those who are a little curious. In addition, Swiss websites are always well designed, including those of cities. Weather-wise it doesn't change us from Alsace, we made comparisons this winter and this summer. There is a degree of discrepancy!!! But it's because Yverdon is not at altitude and there is the presence of the lake. I don't work yet, we have 2 children and I need to find a solution to have them looked after outside of school.
