I moved to Australia in May of 2005, and since have married an Australian. I have really enjoyed living in Australia, but my daughter, who lives in the USA, had a baby in May. Now my Australian husband and myself would like to move to the USA. I've joined this site, in part, to try and get information on how hard it will be for my husband to live in the USA permanently. I have been on the US Immigration website, and it did not appear to be too difficult for a spouse who is married to an American citizen. However, recently my husband was told that he doesn't have a hope to be allowed to live in the USA. We are now confused. We were prepared to sell everything and move to be with family, now not really sure what to do. I know that I need to apply for permission for him to live in the States, and then to work there, and eventually for the what was known as the green card. Just hoping a few people on this site will have some ideas. Thanks....
