Luxembourg, Luxembourg
I was born in Luxembourg, brought up in a multicultural environment by a German father and a Spanish mother. Many relatives of mine live in Luxembourg, however, the majority of my family is spread all over the world.
Luxembourg is pretty safe and calm and it has some very beautiful spots too. Public transport is alright in most places, however, this strongly depends on where you live.
Additionally, it is very multicultural. People who grow up here speak at least(!) 3 languages (German, French & Luxembourgish), so that socialising usually isn't problematic.
Speaking of money, Luxembourg is an expensive place but if you have a nice job and avoid going shopping in luxurious boutiques, it is quite an affordable place to live.
As I already mentioned above, Luxembourg is an expensive place. Especially, the high prices for residences and/or flats make you feel dizzy at times. So make sure you have a steady income or many extra savings when coming here.
In my opinion, Luxembourg is not an ideal place for young people at all as nightlife is dull. There aren't many places to go, so that you get bored pretty easily after going to the same old nightclubs over and over again. Moreover, most pubs and bars close at 1 AM which can be utterly annoying. It is something you have to get used to.
Another thing is that Luxembourgers are mostly reserved and tend to keep to themselves. They seem to have problems for opening up to strangers. A lot of them come across as pretty arrogant and I guess some of them are but not all of them, of course. On the whole they're a friendly people.

Music in luxembourgish language by Kazu
Would you please instruct me of any musician who is singing in luxembourgish language ? (Pops / Rock or Schlager) Thank you.
Serge Tonnar is one of Luxembourg's most popular musicians. Pretty much all of his songs are written in Luxembourgish and have a heavily ironic undertone. Here's his YouTube channel where you can listen to some of his tunes: ... Read More
