Hello, I am a graphic designer in an advertising agency in Brussels, I am in a relationship with a lawyer and we are seriously considering moving to Montreal. We planned a short one-week trip at the end of March to see first-hand what the city looks like. At present, we have not yet taken any administrative steps to obtain a visa. For the moment, we are finding out as much information as possible... Our biggest question concerns local employment (in our respective fields: computer graphics and law), are these fields blocked? Do they 'easily' give access to a visa (permanent resident for example) knowing that we are 35 and 32 years old? If any expatriates want to tell us about their experience there, give us some advice or other... Don't hesitate, it would make us very happy and above all, it would help the Schmilblick move forward a little...
