About

Good morning everyone! My name is Damiano, I have a degree in Economics and solid experience in Italy as an accountant and employment consultant. I have decided to give an international twist to my career and I am planning my permanent move to Belgium, specifically to the Namur area, for the end of this year. I have already started initial contacts with some local recruitment agencies for positions such as Comptable Exp茅riment茅 in the corporate and industrial sector. I get along well with reading and understanding French, but I know that the impact with the spoken language and the local bureaucracy always requires a bit of getting used to at first! This is why I am organizing an exploratory trip there for the beginning of autumn, so as to start becoming familiar with the city, the neighborhoods and the daily rhythms of Wallonia. I would be very pleased to get in touch with Italians who already live in Namur or the surrounding area to have a chat (even virtual ones over a coffee) and receive some practical advice on: The best and most comfortable neighborhoods for looking for a first home. Management of the first bureaucratic steps upon arrival (registration with the municipality, etc.). Daily life and integration into the local fabric for those coming from Southern Italy. If there's anyone in the area or in the Belgian financial/administrative sector, hit up! I thank everyone in advance for their welcome and valuable suggestions. Greetings, Damian
