About

From Toronto, my fine art history degree led me to become a gallery director in Toronto for an international art publisher/agent. I briefly lived in the UK then moved to Cape Town to marry in 2003 and settle. My husband and I had an art gallery up until 2011. These days I work as a fine artist and occasionally do some art consulting and look after my son, who has autism.
Interests: arts, music (listening), pites, a beginner surfer, mom

Cape Town, South Africa

Since Sept 2003

Cape Town, South Africa

Well after meeting my now husband in NYC, USA we had a whirlwind romance and moved to Cape Town. He is from Zim but was educated in Durban. We opened our own art gallery in Cape Town and were both art dealers prior.
I currently look after our 8 year old child who has special needs and also paint.
I like the fact that Cape Town is about the outdoors. It is a remarkably beautiful place to live.
I am from Toronto and generally have lived a rather sheltered life in terms of crime so I don't enjoy the need for such security and the fact that the night life is just not the same as Toronto - you have to be careful driving home, coming through the garage etc.

Anyone from Canada in CT by Sylvain LG

Hello, I am a Canadian citizen from Montreal currently working in Cape Town. Anyone from Montreal out there? Is there a place in Cape Town where we can watch a hockey game??

Haha - no hockey to watch here - going to have to watch on satellite. Going to have to embrace rugby and cricket. Good luck with that! Cheers :) Read More
