My expat journey

Casablanca, Morocco
This will be a pretty permenant move that I'm making with my partner who is french/moroccan. We intend to move at the end of 2012 and will be setting up a life.

I love morocco it sunny and warm (the weather and the people). The cost of living is low and the food is incredible.
I'm looking forward to being able to hire a cleaner!!! especially as our new apartment is 4x larger than our current one!
I look like the definition of a foreigner in Morocco; very white, blonde, blue eyes. Because of this people make the assumption that I'm a tourist and they try to rip me off.
The language barriers, the fact I look so foreign and the patriarchal society make me very dependent on my partner, I do not like the feeling.

Paris, France
Start a life with my partner, explore a new country and learn french.

The is some very romantic associated with living in Paris. So I enjoyed the wow factor I got when I told people where I live. It really is a beautiful city with the river and bridges the achitecture and the food. The public transportation is fantastic in Paris, you only really appreciated that when it gone.
Paris can be crowded and claustrophobic especially in heavy tourist periods.
Everything is closed on Sunday which is very inconvenient when you work all week.
The cost of living there is super high.

Glasgow, Scotland
University to get my masters

I didn't really enjoy my experience in Glasgow. I do like the city itself it has a nice mix of old and modern, there are some lovely bars in Glasgow.
Its so gloomy and windy in Glasgow.
I found my peers to be loud and rowdy, I would be embarrassed for foreigners to see this kind of behavior.

Miami, USA
When there for University
Student
Wow... the glorious weather and the beautiful beaches
The university experience and the maturity level of my peers.

Amman, Jordan
I spent a large portion of my life in Jordan and did most of my growing up there
