I am a guy who has had it rough, but I am neither soft nor too tough, that is, from the experience: one learns a lot in challenge, so I like it that way. Having made it through several bouts of ill health which were accompanied by economic hardship, I have been rebuilding my independence, learning to employ the sympathy I wish others had offered when I had required help, to balance aspirations with the need to work, discipline learned through hardships. The USA is something of a microcosm, or perhaps one should say a hypercosm, a world unto itself, too fast yet too lazy (among some, whether in thought or action) to stop to consider or to consider well: I learned at university, doing research, both how dependent (intertwined) the wider-world is with our system, yet often superior in regards reporting information about it, having no commitment to the pride, prejudices, or political constituents of my country. Paradoxically, it is the freest zone in the world for permitted expression, and some of the best sources of consideration here are among those anathema elsewhere, perhaps for being non-governmental and non- (but not necessarily un-) academic. Apologies for these things being rather...vague: I am (1) a pattern-noticer and generalizer, and (2) one who does not always wish to publish details about himself online for the entire world to access. So to be general, I am just a guy out there who wish to go on in life to make an honest living, have a family, be hospitable to guests, and the kind of guest his hosts wish would never leave. Also, to think, and think constantly, carefully rather than hastily, and who learns to speak slowly.
