My plan was to discover a new culture and learn the language while saving a little money to fully enjoy the stay and have a great enriching experience.
Au pair in an English family of Nigerian origin with three children. A 2 and a half year old girl, an 8 year old boy and a 9 year old.
Mostly, we had to take care of the girl, drop the boys off at school and pick them up. Participate in household chores and also play with the children.
I got on well with the children, the city was calm and friendly. Walking around parks and lakes to take beautiful photos. go shopping and snack with supermarkets where everything is less than 拢0.99 :)
And Starbucks <3
It really wasn't a great family (speaking of the parents who I couldn't trust and who lied to me a bit before I got there) but even in the negative there are positives so I won't go into the details of what went wrong.
