Originally from Alaska with extended stays around the U.S. I've now found myself in Ecuador with my husband and two sons. We were looking for a new adventure and the opportunity to experience a different culture. Guess what? We found it! It's been a wonderful year and we have high expectations of the days to come.

Is Home schooling legal in Ecuador? Not to sure how long we will actually be there, so perhaps it won't matter. But if we do stay, I will home school. Anyone know?
As far as I know homeschooling is technically illegal here, though I can't imagine any gov't officials enforcing it. I believe the reason it is illegal is because there is a high rate of truancy here. I see a lot of kids helping their parent's ... Read More
