I come from Senegal. Before coming to Addis, I worked as a linguistics researcher at the Cheikh Anta Diop Fundamental Institute of Black Africa at the University of Dakar. I also taught French because I have a master's degree in French literature and grammar and a PHD in African linguistics. I have traveled a lot and participated in several conferences. It was very interesting. I left my job in Senegal to follow my husband who has been assigned to Addis since August 2012. I admit that my life in Addis is not very pleasant because I had hoped to find work, even without salary, but since I came, no work. Difficult for a foreigner to work in Ethiopia. I admit that my life is not pleasant here and I am really in a hurry to return to my country. I've been to many countries, but as an African, it's really here, in Ethiopia, that I feel truly foreign. So I would be happy to find friends to chat with.
