In January 2009 (my keyboard is English, it lacks letters and accents) I left Spain. Much better salary, better professional and personal consideration, you get to know the world while they pay you for it, you really practice languages...
In my current company we are people from about 30 countries, our internal language is English, our external language is French.
Disadvantages, there are many but honestly... does anyone believe that today you can develop a professional career in Spain with job security and a decent salary??
