I am a full time school counselor and committed volunteer during my summers off from school. I have a passion for working with children and have chosen these past several years to devote my care and interest to orphans in Cairo. Otherwise, I am a mother of two grown children, married for 35 years to the same great guy, love to travel, a former journalist in New York who became a marketing executive for several different international brands, and returned to graduate school the same year my daughter entered her master's program to pursue my interest in working with children to develop their social, academic, and personal skills. I enjoy living and working near the beach in New Jersey, but since falling in love with Egypt during my first visit in 2010, I forego my summers at the shore and continue to return every year to Egypt as a volunteer. Wish I could live here for a truly extended time!!! Wish it wasn't so difficult to find a flat!
