I live near Paris, I have family in Italy (my sister-in-law married an Italian). They live in Liguria, so obviously close to the sea. I found the climate great, very sunny, the people super nice, the life healthier (everything is organic when it doesn't come from elsewhere!), and for the moment at least, the administrative formalities less restrictive than in France.
