About

I am a semi retired insurance agent and Tax professional. Hubby retired Jan 2013 after 35 years in the trucking industry in sales management. We have always wanted to live in Ecuador again as we were Peace Corps voluteers in Ecuador in the late 70's and have made numerous trips back to Ecuador over the years. We love Ecuador and now we are living the dream we've had for ages! We sold our house, our car, the furniture the kids didn't want, and got rid of most all of our junk. We arrived Cuenca June 1, 2013 with 9 suitcases for the next chapter in our lives.

Not even close to Seattle. Cuenca is often cloudy, but the sun does shine, and it's never as cold and wet as Seattle. I would say that the few minutes of summer that one exoeriences in Seattle can be experienced more often than not in Cuenca, but ... Read More
