About

Hello, I was born in Mexico City, I grew up in Puebla with my mother, who is the adopted daughter of Mexican and Lebanese, my father the son of Spanish, I have both nationalities, Mexican and Spanish. 11 years ago I left Mexico to go to Madrid, where I met my now husband, he is from Munich, Germany, and we have 2 daughters, who have 3 nationalities! I have lived in 8 cities, in 5 countries and 3 different continents, we now live in Munich, Germany, my husband is a civil engineer. Me for now, housewife. I like meeting new people and collecting experiences!

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Since Dec 2012

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

My husband is developing a construction consulting company, we have 2 daughters and for now, I dedicate myself to taking care of and pampering my family ;)
There is no winter! Some dishes are very delicious (if they are prepared at my house without so much fat!)
It has been the worst experience of my life! Horribly racist, at first they seem very friendly, but underneath that smiling membrane there is a lot of hypocrisy, I mean it! As soon as you have a conflict situation with an Ethiopian, no matter how small, it becomes a tremendous problem, they are incapable of accepting errors, constructive criticism, instructions or demands despite being the one who pays, in short, I left the country totally disgusted! I would never recommend anyone to live in that country! And I really know how strong this sounds. I simply don't fit all the examples of negative aspects of the country here. I wouldn't even go to visit again! I'm sorry :-(

Abuja, Nigeria

Jan 2006 - Dec 2009

Abuja, Nigeria

My husband worked for the Julius Berger construction company, it was a time of a lot of work, long and tiring days. Because it is such a complicated country, the advantages were clearly seen in finances, but the sacrifice was hard. I worked only for a while in the city of Port Harcourt
Before living in the capital Abuja, we lived for a few months in Port Harcourt, where the company built the governor's house, my job was to supervise and organize the cleaning team of the residence, the Banket Hall and the office building.
I only met one Nigerian person who was worth my respect and affection and that was the woman who worked in my house, a woman in her thirties, totally devoted to her passion for God, hard-working, noble, tender and sweet, extremely ignorant but almost totally innocent. Outside of it, everything good that happened to us in Nigeria has nothing to do with the country itself. I met my best friends there, perhaps and most likely because of the situation in which the country put us all, people tended more to open up and be supportive. My social life was never more active and pleasant, I participated in the enormous challenge of helping 60 children who were left stranded in an orphanage, organizing BINGOS for expatriates who were desperately looking for activities and I raised enough money to send 8 children to school and organize their Christmas party, then we retired because we wanted to have children and this is not the country for that.
Nigeria is one of the most chaotic countries that exist, and Port Harcourt is, by far, the worst place to live due to its lack or lack of security for expatriates, but the Julius Berger company was at that time, very well organized and provided enough infrastructure to offer acceptable comforts and conditions, in any case it is NOT a city to live with children. The last I knew, the company withdrew because the guerrillas made it impossible for them to stay for any longer. In the capital it is something else, much safer but it is still Nigeria, Nigerians live terrified by their own hatred, racism, classism, oil is the worst thing that has happened to them and I have never seen so many victims of ignorance, hunger, injustice and evil. The cities stink, the people are dirty, the food is even dangerous! And you shouldn't trust people very easily, sad :( With all this, it has been the best experience of my life, I think it is because I was able to help even a little bit closely the most innocent in this country.

Munich, Germany

Jan 2003 - Dec 2013

Munich, Germany

I met my husband in Madrid, he was studying his degree and I was getting my papers in order as a Spaniard, we fell in love ;) we got married and lived happily ;)
I studied German, because I arrived without even knowing how to say "patata2" I worked for a while at the Zara store, then I got my license to take care of children at home, "tagesmutter" We went to Africa for a while, but after a while we returned to receive our 2 daughters with the proper care and precautions for pregnancy and birth. We prepare our suitcases to travel back to Africa.
The city is beautiful, clean, tidy, organized, the people are punctual, the lakes, the Alps, it is a city where you bike a lot and it is safe to do so! The English park is beautiful, it is difficult for me with people, because I met the most loyal and serene people but I also encountered the worst racism and arrogance in my life!
I don't want to say that Germans are racist, that's not the case, but it is a fact that for foreigners "living in Germany" it can be hard. Personally, I have come across a few people who at the first opportunity express their discomfort with the presence of foreigners, they are intolerant of the imperfection of German (truly in-perfection). The weather is very difficult for me to tolerate, going out with children can be very stressful because of carrying coats, hats, scarves, and colds are terrible!

Madrid, Spain

Aug 2000 - Dec 2002

Madrid, Spain

My parents were Spanish and I traveled to Spain to acquire Spanish nationality, learn about my roots and change direction.
Food for God's sake! In San Sebastian the best tapas! going for a walk, architecture, cultural activities, shopping, weather, tourist destinations
It seemed to me that people in Madrid are a little closed to meeting people, come on, I met but not really, it was all very superficial. In the summer everyone goes to their towns, cities and countries of origin and it is very boring, too hot and everything is closed!

Mexico City, Mexico

Jan 1989 - Aug 2000

Mexico City, Mexico

I began my life there as a high school student, I moved to the capital of Mexico to live with my father and brothers. (Previously I lived in the city of Puebla with my mother) It was a difficult change coming from the province, although I appreciated the wonders of the tremendous metropolis, I never felt very comfortable due to the insecurity, pollution and stress experienced in the capital.
Let's see... THERE IS NO food more delicious than Mexican! It's simply delicious! I like bread, injara... but the Mexican tortilla! It has no equal! In the city of Mexico you can find everything, almost at all hours, the food is fantastic, the party and social life is very varied, in general the activities, culture and alternatives are very wide.
The pollution of so many cars, public transportation, insecurity
