About

I am a Kenyan, and an expat in teaching Swahili as a foreign language to clients all over the world. I hold a bachelor's degree in education arts, Geography and Swahili. My areas of expertise includes: Teaching, translation & interpretation. I have 4 years teaching experience both at high school level and at institute level. At high school level, I have taught Geography and Swahili while at Institute level I have taught Swahili as a foreign language to visitors from all over the world and from different walks of life. I am an understanding and patient teacher who aims at ensuring that the student understands the lessons well. And this is why most of the students I have taught before never want to change a teacher and will always refer other students to me. I have the capability of handling students of all age brackets from children, youths, adults to aged people. I once taught Swahili to a 72 year Old Carol Wish camper from USA and she was amazed with my lesson. Even after she went back to USA, I still teach her online via Skype. I encourage foreigners who wish to learn Swahili and are wondering on how to go about it to contact me for classes and I will show them how learning Swahili can be fun. My class for Swahili as a foreign language always includes but is not limited to singing, role playing, listening to selective Swahili songs, story telling and playing cards Currently, I am available to offer Swahili language lessons to both locals who would like to improve their Swahili skills, and foreigners who wish to study it as a foreign language.(I offer full course from beginners to proficiency at a fair rate). Skype lessons are also available. Visitors based in Meru, Embu, and Nanyuki/Laikipia can now also learn Swahili with me because I am opening branches for Swahili Centres in these towns very soon. My lessons are tailor made to suit the needs of my clients. The venue of the class is to be determined by the client, but am very flexible and I can teach you from your house, workplace, or in an open air place. I am working on my website, so soon I will be online in order to serve you my client even better. For now, am on Elance and Odesk, You can search me with belhaumwigama as my username. Welcome Everyone within Africa and in the Diaspora and lets learn together. ELIMU NI NGUVU.
