Born in Winnipeg Manitoba, teenager in Calgary Alberta, lived all of my adult life in BC Lower Mainland / Fraser Valley (downtown Vancouver for past 6 years). Happily married to Kisch since 1969, we have a happily married son & daughter-in-law with 2 grandchildren aged 10 and 7. I've been a lifelong practicing student of personal and professional development, love reading, writing, music, picnics and spontaneous travel. I play a little guitar for my own pleasure and to torture friends. Spent 30 years in the retail automotive industry in sales, management and ownership. Sold my interests in our Toyota dealership and retired from the industry in 2002. Since then have developed and presented life success and achievement programs and am now building teams of independent distributors internationally for an innovative company called SendOutCards. My business is 'portable', in that I can do it from wherever I have reliable Internet access. Kisch and I are both in the early stages of learning Spanish through the Rosetta Stone program. For some reason, we have long had an interest in Central and South America and will be scratching that itch this year. We've sold our properties, given away most of our material possessions and become 'homeless in Vancouver'. We'll be leaving for 6 months in Ecuador in early October of this year (2013) and our intention is to visit the various regions for several weeks before we choose one, hopefully rent a furnished house, settle in and experience the culture. Step one in the next phase of our life together.
