Uvira, Democratic Republic of Congo

Since Dec 2010

Uvira, Democratic Republic of Congo

I am in temporary residence there because I work on the peace actions coordination committee which has its executive secretariat office there.
I was a teacher at the ITARA and USHINDI Institute in LUVUNGI, at the UJASIRI SCHOOL COMPLEX in BUKAVU and at the SUPERVISION CENTER FOR FINALIST STUDENTS IN THE MWENGA TERRITORY in KAMITUGA. Currently I am in humanitarian organizations precisely at CCAP asbl.
I really like walking along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, visiting the valleys of the rivers which cross the City of Uvira, visiting the farmers during their rural activities, chatting with the young scouts of Uvira, etc.
What I like less is certain uncivil behavior displayed by certain citizens who throw rubbish everywhere, use their toilets on the edge of the lake, etc.
