I'm an author and former expat, having worked and lived for five years in France, three in Britain, and for shorter stints in Brazil and Saudi Arabia. In the US, I've lived in New York, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Miami, and now Washington. As a reporter for the NY Times, I wrote from 20 countries and 44 states. I now track the lives and issues of corporate "Relos"--relocatees--and have written a book about them. It's called, "Next Stop, Reloville. Life inside America's New Rootless Professional Class."
