I taught English with ILA and APU in Saigon/HCMC. I lived in District 10 and Districts 1 and 3 while there. I had taught Vietnamese students back in the States and wanted to see the beautiful country they spoke of.

I didn't care for HCMC because of the motorbikes and it was quite dusty/dirty. I loved Dalat, Phu Quoc and Hanoi. I hope to return and see Nha Trang and Pleiku.
Barcelona, Spain
I had always wanted to see Spain since I discovered Spanish guitar. I also wanted training in TESOL and signed up for the SIT course in Barcelona.

I loved Spain. The architecture, history, food, people and particularly where I lived, in Gracia, just off of the Gran de Gracia.
Although in a bit of culture shock, I loved living there and would move back in a flash...especially to Gracia.
