Montreal, Canada

I'm studying, trying to make a name for myself in local journalism and the writing world. I'm looking to base my life here. My life is starting to look good
I am a journalism student, I am doing really well in my studies. I started writing columns on a voluntary basis for the community radio station in LaSalle (a suburb very close to Montreal) and I hope to work for the newspaper in the same city.
I like life here, the people, the city, the cultural diversity, the ease of access to culture, the teachers' pedagogy, the studies, the future prospects in studies (being a columnist and having job prospects in this field after barely 8 months of course is not bad). And Montreal is a city on the move.
I don't like the climate, the cost of living, the politics, the feeling of insecurity in certain neighborhoods (northwest of Montreal and Verdun around De L'茅glise station)... but I'm realistic too, no matter where you go... paradise doesn't exist :) Montreal looks like my definition of paradise though.
