About

I have been here almost a year. I work with an NGO. I am of Afro-Caribbean decent and am very familiar with the island lifestyle / 3rd world conditions. This year, it's a must for me to meet, make and nurture new friendships with Expats outside of my work environment. The Filipino culture seems rather challenging for Expat women (single/ no kids). I'd like to meet others (female/ male / younger or older) with a broader persepctive on life.
Interests: , kayaking. biking. reading. outdoor activities

I'm creating/ crafting a new life everyday. I'm adjusting to the realities of my decision to work overseas. I have no great projects in mind for myself or others while I'm here. I just plan to tread lightly and return to center eventually.
Earning a decent Living. That's all. No major career to speak of.
The weather is very enjoyable. It affords me a 365 outdoor lifestyle.
There are a few things that I have not adjusted to in the PI, but it's not helpful to compare apples to oranges. I just roll with the Filipino punches :-)

I had a great time exploring this east coast region of America. Have lived in the NW and South so it was a delightful experience - my year & a half in Virginia.
Enjoyed working in and around the Nation's Capital - (Public Sector)
