Thanks for the very interesting and humorous intro, I thoroughly enjoyed it. As an English Language teacher I didn't find your lapses in grammar inappropriate at all, they only added to the value of your statements.

Looks to me like you've got just the right attitude to be a big success as an expat! It's not easy to do, but it has great rewards.

I wish both you and your wife much luck in your future plans now that the young have flown the nest. Let your hair down and enjoy!!!

Well I thank you for your outstanding response. I聽 am not a English teacher as per say but I am a teacher of the Martial Arts. I must say after raising 6 children letting my hair down is聽 a wonderful thing. ( what's聽 left of it聽 Ha ha! ) I also聽 look forward to hearing from聽 you as well. I聽 am glad聽 we are meeting聽 people with good聽 integrity聽 so that we can gain great insight as to how things are done聽 where we are going. Sometimes聽 websites can be a bit over puffed up聽 to draw you in.

sounds very nice but my question would be, Is this more like a resort type area聽 聽 or vacation villa type ? We was hoping to find a nice open floor plan one level home聽 in the聽 open country聽 around the natives of the area but yet聽 still close enough to be involved in the community area with out having to live there. We never considered the Panama area. At first it聽 was just Costa Rica until we found wonderful Belize 聽 I feel that we are totally settled with the future move to Belize. But聽 we do thank you for your suggestion

Well聽 hey聽 hey聽 everyone.
聽 Well in the mist of聽 our continued process of the big聽 anticipated move, we have come across a new idea 聽 and that is to have a home built there the way we want it. We found a company that builds wonderful round homes and also Net Zero homes. Yeah聽 they are prefab and can be shipped anywhere in the world聽 We checked with them and they can ship to Belize with no problem. ( good聽 for us聽 we are doing聽 our聽 research )聽 I guess we聽 will start to look at some聽 land areas聽 聽 to see what may be suitable. Well聽 either way it will all work its way out聽 because the bottom line is聽 in this process we are going to have fun doing it . You go through life you know with so many issues that press you聽 and you tend to get stressed out聽 ,聽 well we say聽 the HECK聽 with all that nonsense..聽 we are going to enjoy everyday聽 with fun and a good laugh ( yup even about the serious stuff.. life is to short ) You see even as i am typing this聽 my wife is making a sandwich while dancing around.聽 聽(yeah聽 she jammin' big time.. for those of you who understand the lingo of the 70's)聽 Ha.hahahaha 聽 聽What聽 I find聽 very interesting is that you can come on here and give great information聽 on some very useful topics and that is cool 聽 聽i thank each of you for giving the wonderful info and time you spent doing聽 so, but i have decided to take a different approach and that is one of聽 fun, simplicity, and聽 energetic encouragement.. For聽 each one of you who we have had the extreme pleasure of meeting here, We will have one big house warming party bash聽 聽 聽when we get there for good. good morning or kali mara(greek)from Athens,this is Concertina here,so good to hear from you,your idea to build sounds fabulous,what fun,and you are both so lovely,the world sure needs happy people,I hope you will be writing an 大咖福利影院 as you move along your story.The assembly houses are all the thing here or were before the crisis came,when folks had money,Much easier and quicker than building,I would dry line them with plasterboard inside and a natural fibre insulation between like a hemp,we thought of this here in Greece.Many thoughts of you both,waiting to hear more love from concertina ps I do know what you mean by jammin,my years have been many xx

Well We Are Back,

We are back for another installment on our journey to Belize. 聽 Well it may seem to be a strange way聽 of making this聽 transition, but there is a method to my madness 聽 See I like to really know what聽 I am getting into before i make a major plunge like this. To me everything has a cause and effect,聽 so聽 i聽 gotta make sure my "because" has a very positive action on the "effect" 聽 So here is the latest. We found out some very useful info from those expats that live there on what to expect and聽 the聽 do's and don't's of living there. No聽 excuse for being stupid聽 right? Well聽 we also found out some聽 great info on the housing market聽 that would make our journey easier. See It's all about the connecting with the right people聽 and making good quality friends before going to where ever you may decide to聽 go. It's like聽 knowing and enjoying who your neighbors are before you get there so then聽 it will really feel like聽 you just聽 walked around the corner. 聽 Again like i said before聽 if you are going to do it聽 聽have fun with聽 it... even the serious stuff. life is too short for the ridiculous pressures that we allow to dominate us.

By聽 way of聽 encouragement to any one who may聽 read this post i have something to share聽 that hopefully if you really take the聽 time to think it over you will grab hold of your life and learn to enjoy even in the hard times.聽 Peace and Blessings

Well聽 Here we are again with聽 another installment of聽 our聽 journey to Belize.聽 We have been doing聽 a lot聽 of聽 detailed research about the Corozal area and the聽 surrounding聽 villages. We are really liking聽 the bay area. It has聽 a very nice聽 appeal to us. So our search is now聽 for聽 a setting of聽 land聽 to purchase and聽 a聽 nice rental to stay in聽 while聽 our聽 home聽 is being built. We聽 are in聽 no real rush聽 聽聽 because we want it all done聽 to our personal聽 taste.聽 It聽 really has to fit聽 perfectly. It is said that after you do all that聽 work some times you sit back聽 and聽 say聽 " oh聽 wow, we should have聽 done聽 this聽 or聽 that"聽 聽but聽 we are going to just sit and聽 evaluate聽 聽 聽the present聽 and聽 the long聽 term future of our聽 every day聽 living聽 to make sure聽 they聽 mesh together like as glove.聽 I will be adding聽 more to this聽 over the weekend so聽 stay tuned for more..聽 until then聽 be聽 blessed!!!!聽 (聽 Oh聽 聽by the聽 way聽 the picture that i had聽 on my聽 last聽 post for those who may聽 have seen it聽 may聽 have聽 offended some聽 聽 by聽 the statement聽 at the end of it, so聽 for the sake聽 of聽 just being聽 the person聽 of聽 integrity that聽 i am聽 聽i聽 took it聽 off. )聽 lets keep everybody聽 Happy, happy ,happy

Well聽 Everyone聽 we are back.聽 .聽 Well we been away for a little while finishing up on a few more outstanding items聽 that we wanted to have聽 completed prior to our move. One聽 thing that we have considered聽 is the rent-vs -buy option. We have looked very closely into this.聽 聽 聽I feel the best way to go is to do both. Rent first to feel everything out聽 and聽 then move in to purchase. This way聽 you get a good feel of聽 all that the land聽 has to offer.聽 聽 we are even considering building our own home聽 ourselves ( at least a large portion of it ). The challenges have been rather interesting over the past聽 few months as we build up our income to get to Belize. Some聽 come聽 after retirement聽 and some have聽 life savings聽 set aside and some聽 just聽 have it like that. Well our聽 goal is to build up business聽 聽聽 to be self sufficient, and聽 make our slow transition. 聽 聽 Either way聽 this whole process is fun and exciting.聽 聽 Well we will be聽 back聽 with more聽 soon.聽 OH聽 wait聽 did i say...聽 that i actually just completed College at age 53. SUMMA CUM LAUDE !!!!聽 ( way to go dude聽 better late than聽 never).
