I'm also in the same situation as many of you. I want to marry my fiance in Chlef Algeria and we plan to have our wedding in August. He assures me that we should get our marriage license in time but after doing some research online I fear that will not be the case. I am able to get all the required documents but I want to know if it is okay that I have just one original and the rest be photocopies since I am not allowed to be issued more than one original. As for the medical parts do I get a medical exam in Algeria or in my home country and show proof of it?

i鈥檓 planning to go and propose to ask her hand from her dad even if that means I have to do an engagement. I will take my father and another male via a tourist visa.

I know I聽 have to legalise the marriage & just a nikah in the mosque is not enough as how we do in the uk. I鈥檒l have to legalise the marriage in Algeria in order to get her to live with me or take her as my wife.

Hi, I tried marrying in Tunis with my Algerian partner. The Algerian embassy asked my partner to prove that she is Tunisian resident and that she lived there for more than a month etc. How do we receive the permission of marriage from Algerian embassy?

Those who still wish to marry in Algeria, I hope this helps, as I鈥檓 currently in the process. I had my brother in law, visit the embassy, and they provided the required documents to get mix marriage license

1 - 3 Recent Passport sized photo

2 - A Birth certificate

3 - Certificate of non-marriage or divorce judgment

4 - Photocopy of land page of your passport with valid entry visa

5 - Hotel accommodation or reservation

6 - Certificate of conversion to Islam

7 - Certificate of the capacity to marry (CCM) or a license issued by the diplomatic or consular mission of his country accredited in Algeria or the competent authorities of his country or any similar official mission

8 - Certified crimal record ceritifcated issued by a foreign country

9 - Original capacity of +07 Lsg from the king / A copy of the file
